Shrine Bowl West Football Camp

The Shrine Bowl All-Star Football Camps are intense training and preparation camps.  During the camps all meals, housing with bedding, & transportation is provided.  Players are expected to arrive between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Friday, 8 days prior to the Shrine Bowl All-Star Football Game, always scheduled for the last Saturday in July.  All players, coaches & staff will remain in the camp with the squad though the playing of the game [except for emergencies]. 

The West Camp is held at St. John's Military School in Salina, Kansas.  The Camp Director is Myron Converse, a past Shrine Bowl All-Star Player in 1982, a Shrine Hall of Famer, and Past President of the Kansas Shrine Bowl Board of Directors.

VISITATION:  Participant friends and relatives are welcome to visit camp any time between 9am and 10pm daily.  Care should be taken to work visits into training schedules so no practice is missed or disrupted.  All visitors must check in with the Camp Director upon arrival.  If a friend, relative, or coach wishes to join participant, for a meal they should check with the camp director for availability and price.  All visits with friends and relatives during the camp must take place on campus.

Mail will be delivered and picked up at the dorm daily.

 

The office phone will be installed so participants may be contacted in case of emergency and for Shrine Bowl business only.  There are public phones in the area and many in the camp have cell phones.
