Important Dates & Events Schedule for 2010

BENEFITING SHRINERS HOSPITALS

 

April 30, DEADLINE for Participant Picture into Shrine Bowl office for inclusion in program.
May 15, Physical exam form to all football players.
June 15, Program advertising deadline. (Earlier is better!  See Player Requirements sheet for redeemable point deadlines)
July 1, DEADLINE for completed player physical exam form return.
July 7, Pre-camp packet mailed to all participants.
July 23, 9 am - East Football players report to camp (Emporia). Orientation, physicals & first practice.  Coaches, trainers, & managers should report 24 hours earlier.
July 23, 9 am - West Football players report to camp (Salina). Orientation, physicals & first practice.  Coaches, trainers, & managers should report 24 hours earlier.
July 23, 10 pm - Reporting deadline for any needed football replacements.
July 24 - Both  football squads, and a few Shriners, travel to St. Louis for a short tour and a visit to the Shriners Hospital. 
July 25- Morning: Church services for all football players & staff desiring to go.
July 27- Kansas Masonic All-State Band Camp opens.
July 29- Shrine Bowl All-Star Cheer Camp opens. 
July 30- Both football squads practice in Pittsburg AND the Shrine Bowl All-Star Cross Country Camp opens. 
Friday, July 30

Order tickets early to get best possible seating & to keep from being unable to get tickets due to sell-out.

     6:00 p.m.           Player Appreciation Banquet,  Approximately 1,200 in attendance including players, parents, Shriners, and their ladies.  Also attending will be a representative of the Imperial Shrine of North America and the Grand Master of Masons of Kansas.  Banquet will feature special speakers and Shrine Hospital patients. Dress: business dress to business casual, not formal.  The banquet should be over at approximately 9pm. All seats are reserved, advanced sales only (while available seating lasts, a sell-out is expected).  Tickets can be ordered by sending a check for $25.00 per ticket to the Kansas Shrine Bowl Office, PO Box 176, Wamego, KS 66547 or by calling 800-530-5524 and charging tickets to a credit card (MasterCard, Visa or Discover).  Paid tickets will be mailed during the first week of JulyTickets normally sell out by mid-June.

Saturday, July 31, 2010
            7:30 am             Breakfast for Participant's families with information about Masons & Shriners.
            9-10 am            Shrine Bowl Parade Formation AND Shrine Bowl HS Combine & Football Clinic check-in.
            10 am               Shrine Bowl High School Combine & Football Clinic till 2 pm.
            10 am               Shrine Bowl Parade through downtown Pittsburg till 11:30 am
            1 pm                 Members only- Grand Lodge meeting.
            3 pm                 Stadium parking lots open.
            4 pm                 Stadium ticket booths open AND working volunteers report.
            5 pm                 Stadium gates open.
            6 pm                 Open 2 Mile road race & Cross Country All-Star race begin & finish during pre-game on the track at the Stadium.
            6:15 pm             Shrine Bowl pre-game ceremonies begin.
            7:05 pm             Shrine Bowl XXXVII, All-Star Football Kick-off
