Kansas Shrine Bowl Administration
Kansas Shrine Bowl Office The Kansas Shrine Bowl is administered by a 15 man Board of Directors. There are three directors from each of the five Shrine Temples[Centers] in Kansas. They are appointed to staggered three year terms by their Potentate [Shrine Temple "President"] following a vote of the Shrine Temple Divan [officers]. The BOD meet several time a year to make the plans and decisions of the Kansas Shrine Bowl. The delegate the day-to-day operations and management to the Executive Director. The current Executive Director, Dave Mize, was employed by the Shrine Bowl in July of 1981. He attended Bonner Springs High School and Kansas State University. Following four years in the U.S. Army, he worked for Gamble-Skogmo Tempo Discount Stores, owned a Gambles Hardware & Appliance Store, and represented several companies in life insurance sales. He married Janette [Mahar] in 1967. Janette was raised in Eureka and graduated from Washington High School in Kansas City Kansas. Together they have two sons; David Eric Mize [1971], and Adam Joseph Mize [1972]. David works for ICE [Immigration Customs Enforcement] in Alamosa, Colorado. Adam and his wife, Libby [McDiffett], have two boys, Jordan [2003] and Aidan [2005], and live in Corinth, Mississippi, where Adam manages a Caterpillar engine facility. |
